Ross brings a unique blend of Haisla Nation leadership experience, resource-sector involvement, and federal policy insight to the national energy conversation.

Before entering federal politics in 2025, Ellis Ross served as Chief Councillor of the Haisla Nation, where he advanced major LNG development initiatives, including agreements to build LNG facilities on Haisla territory. Now serving on the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development, Ross continues to champion responsible energy development that supports jobs, community prosperity, and Indigenous participation.
