I am pleased to share a brief update on our Government Affairs activities over the past few months. Our chapter continues to strengthen relationships with local officials and aligned organizations as we work to support informed policy discussions around energy efficiency, decarbonization, and the built environment.
Over the last few weeks, I have had productive meetings with several city officials to discuss ASHRAE’s technical resources and emerging standards. These conversations help build awareness of our industry’s expertise and reinforce ASHRAE’s role as a trusted partner on issues such as building performance, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
Looking ahead, we are excited to host a joint event with our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Chair on March 24th at the Grey Eagle Casino. We will be welcoming Ellis Ross, Member of Parliament for Bulkley Valley, as our keynote speaker.
The theme of the evening will be:
“Canada’s Energy Future – LNG, Nuclear and Beyond.”
