This is your official invitation to the 2020 CIFD/House boat trip.  For those of you who have been on it, not much explanation is required.  For those who haven’t, here’s a rundown.

The derby has been around since 1957, and used to be held at different lakes.  For the past 38 years or so, Construction Industry (CCA, MCA, SMCAA, ASHRAE,ECAA)  individuals have been traveling to Shuswap lake to participate.  It’s a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your customers, co workers, and industry peers.  The houseboats are completely self contained with full cooking, sleeping and bathroom facilities.  Please see the attached websites for more boat specific information.  www.twinanchors.com

This year’s derby (2020) is September 17-19th, with boarding possible the afternoon/evening of September 17.  The derby weigh in is on Saturday night with all boats gathering for the evening.  Boat return is on September 20.  All participants are asked to contact one of the organizers below for prices and booking procedures.  

If you need a break from fishing, Hyde Mountain Golf Course is accessible by houseboat, and has a world class track.  Anglemont also has a nine hole course, both of which are accessible from the lake.  All boats are WI-FI enabled, so keeping in touch with the outside world is possible for those who need to.  Hope to see you out this year.
