It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a valued ASHRAE member, Duncan Hickerty, who passed away on August 2nd, 2026.
Duncan was a valued member of our mechanical engineering community, serving on the SAIT advisory committee for HVAC Engineering Technology, and working for the City of Calgary, where he retired as Chief Engineer. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his many friends in the industry who had the pleasure to work with him.
